For the first time in Hilliard Darby Wrestling history, a Darby wrestler claims a State Championship!  Bradley Weaver capped off an incredible season with a State Title, in his home gym!

Bradley Weaver finished his Senior season undefeated at 32-0.  Not only did he win every match that he wrestled, he also did not surrender a single offensive point; not one takedown, reversal, nor near fall.  Bradley only had 3 matches all season that were not bonus point victories (one regular season match, the State Semifinals, and the State Finals).  Bradley was as dominant as is gets.
Bradley ends his career as a Two-Time District Champion; this season he was 4-0 at Districts with 4 pins.  He is one of only two Darby wrestlers to ever win multiple District Tournaments, joining Jared Ball, a 2018 grad.
At the 2021 DI State Tournament, Bradley first defeated Mason's Skyler Horn via pin, as well as Avon's Mason Bingham via pin.  In the State Semifinals, Bradley defeated Youngstown Boardman's Jake Powell by a score of 3-0 in a hard fought, but dominate match.  This set-up the State Final match with Freshman Phenom, Aiden Fockler from Massillion Perry, who entered the match with a 33-1 record.
In the final match of the night, Weaver struck first and often, collecting three takedowns to Fockler's zero.  Bradley gave up an escape in the waining moments of the match to win with a score of 7-1 and cap off a fairytale season.  The Hilliard community could not be more proud of Bradley Weaver on all that he has accomplished.
Bradley will next attack his Senior lacrosse season, followed by preparing to go to Ohio University to play football.  The sky is the limit with Bradley and we look forward to watching his star rise.
